River Lee
We are back in cruising mode after Diane has had her 2 coffees in bed in the morning. Happily supplied by Ray as it keeps her out of the way.
Once moored up we went to have a look at the Lee Valley White Water Center, any excuse for another coffee it seems

Fire Brigade training
It seems there was training going on else that's a funny place to park a car.
We also managed to find a sculpture for our pose.
Made of wood this time and no information handy but mission accomplished.Monday, 22 June 2015
Stantsted Abbotts
We have left the lovely town of Hertford on our way back through London to cruise along the Thames. A cloudy day but Diane has managed to do the washing and hang it outside, which makes her happy. Although she's now on weather watch, in case of drizzle.
We are helping to stop the pegs from flying away!
Once the washing was dry and the sun showed itself we left on a walk around the village. We saw a few pubs a co op and some shops .
The statue of the day is an interesting one built to show the meridian line that runs through here
Now back inside as the scribe races away to get the washing in.
Where Oh Ware !!!
So here we are on another outing, travelling on a blue from Hertford to Ware. Our carrier is still enthused, long may it last ??
Ooh whizzing along
First stop the very strange place of Scott's Grotto an underground folly built in the 1760's. Lucky the carriers are boaters so had torches to light the way.
Thumpers got us pinned down
Onwards into the interesting town of Ware, a quaint old fashioned place as described by the tourist information. Diane was in her element after finding the information trail she could read to Ray which he listens too with interest. But unfortunately it started to rain and we were returned to the bag.
Amazingly we have found a statue to pose on. It's the cat, which is part of The Maltmaker which was commissioned for the millennium.
So tomorrow we must share with you our home, as long as we are released from the cupboard.

Pirate George
Introducing our new member of the gang Pirate George. Hopefully the 3 of us will have many adventures together . |
Pirate George |
Lovely fresh air |
We have thought about what we can see in different places in the UK and have seen statues around so that will be our mission to find a statue in many places. Although we are sure Ray and Diane would prefer pubs so maybe a couple will find its way onto the blog as they like their Happy Friday's .
Makes you wonder why Hartford in the USA has an a not an e in its spelling.
While here there was an interesting rolling roadblock happening soon followed by women on bikes whizzing past
Not a bad first day on release although we did find a good hideaway in the Hertford Museum in a play area for children but were soon retrieved. So onwards with our adventures hoping some people enjoy it too.

A reunion
I have sadly not continued with Thumper and Billsons adventures and I think it's about time I retried . Poor things have been relegated to the wardrobe.
I obviously will have to relearn how to blog and add photos but am willing to try and just wondering if anyone will be reading ????
